Prescott College offers a variety of counseling programs, including a
CACREP-Accredited Master of Science in Counseling, an Education Specialist degree in Experiential Counseling, a Master of Education in School Counseling, and Graduate Certificates in Adventure-based Counseling, Expressive Arts Therapy, and Nature-based Counseling to enhance your learning and future practice.
Our Master of Science in Counseling Program provides an interdisciplinary, student-centered learning environment that integrates global and local social and professional issues with professional practice while maintaining an emphasis on student academic, professional, and cultural competence.
The M.S. in Counseling is Accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counselor and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).

As a CACREP-accredited program, our limited residency Counseling program balances rigorous scholarship, critical thinking, professional development, and community engagement. It’s not surprising that our graduates have a high pass rate on licensure exams across the country and go on to establish vibrant careers.
Our curriculum filters through the lens of social and environmental justice; our learning approach is interdisciplinary and student-centered. Integrate global and local social issues into your practice, while you focus on your academic and professional goals. Discover the ways multi-generational and transcultural woundings contribute to mental and emotional concerns. Learn to use power and privilege to give voice to those who have none.
Students will have the opportunitiy to complete their clinical experience, practicum/internship, in their own community and work with clients, in-person, under the supervision of trained and licensed clinicians.
Areas of emphasis include Human Sexuality Counseling; Somatic Counseling; Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling; and Social Justice in Counseling.
